“Sun’s out, rum’s out” – that’s our motto for this summer, so when Cocktails In the City invited us back for a second year, we jumped at the chance and called upon our good friends Santa Teresa to join us. Together with twenty-four other great London bars we transformed Bedford Square Gardens into a cocktail haven.
3,000 cocktail lovers bathed in the London sunshine and were treated to numerous delicious drinks, masterclasses, gourmet hotdogs and entertained by top Funk & Soul DJs.
We brought our signature rooftop stripes to central London, dusted off the picnic tables and pulled out the party games to make it a weekend to remember.
Big Chill Bar, Brick Lane and Big Chill House, King’s Cross joined forces to welcome guests into our Big Chill Backyard, where they were treated to a tasty mojito menu. Our cocktails In The City special was a ‘Watermelon Sharer’, a fruity twist on the classic mojito, served in an actual watermelon, topped with tangtastic sweets. The cocktail proved to be very popular with the crowd, so much so that we were crowned top sellers of the weekend, serving up a whopping 800 mojitos over the two days!
Alongside the cocktails, guests looking to chill out kicked back with their drinks on our picnic blankets and benches and giant swinging egg chair. Whereas the more adventurous ones entered Santa Teresa’s game zone and many a sun’s out, rum’s out tote bags filled with Santa Teresa goodies, were handed out.
We would like to say a big thank you to the Cocktails In The City team for putting on a great show and the Santa Teresa team being awesome partners.
